5 OUT OF 5 – “Krampus came this Christmas and gave us this masterful horror anthology!

Stories are dark and the the editing is fantastic. Many of the stories contain twists meant to frighten and concern the reader–which they do. Some stories are unapologetically aggressive and highlight some truly creative horror stories.

You can’t go wrong with any of these which were all enjoyable. However, our favorites were the first two “Appetite for Fear” and “Solver,” and the middle “The Wonder of Inviting a Demon”–where an individual actually provokes a demon’s possession just to see if he could fight it off. All other stories are strong–not a weak story in the bunch!–and some other favorites amongst friends included “The Collection” and “Souling” which are also great stories.

They kept the traditional page hue, that cream color which is so much better on the eyes than the bright eye some presses use, and the feel of the cover is matte and easy on the hands. As is the cover, which the artful is also easy on the eyes but frightening in its own right.

This is a fantastic holiday pickup and everyday horror read. I got mine for Christmas after hearing about it on Twitter from the publisher, and I got to watch as it started with an open call, through editing, and then the cover reveal and publishing. Very transparent publisher and it was fun to see the process step-by-step online, as they posted nearly everything about the process.

I’ll be giving some for family and friend’s this Christmas!” – AMAZON REVIEWER

“This is a real solid collection of short stories of genre fiction, mostly horror, from some authors lesser known to me. There were not any stories I just did not like, but there were a couple of great standouts that are some of the best shorts I’ve read recently . . . ” GOODREADS REVIEWER
